Scope: 16 Steps | Glue-Down Installation | Matching Stairnoses & Painted Baseboards
We recently completed a staircase renovation featuring Regal Elk Mountain Engineered Wood in the color Abrams, a 7½-inch oak plank with a rich, natural grain and durable urethane finish. This high-end engineered wood was installed using a full glue-down method for long-lasting strength and a smooth, quiet step underfoot.
Scope of Work Highlights
Demo & Prep: Removed existing carpet and prepared each step for a precision glue-down installation.
Installation: Installed 16 custom-cut treads and risers using premium Sika Urethane adhesive to ensure maximum durability and stability.
Stairnoses & Transitions: Added matching Abrams stairnoses and an end-mold transition to create a cohesive flow from flooring to staircase.
Trim & Finish: Installed and caulked primed white shoe mold, then sealed and painted baseboards for a complete turnkey finish.
The result is a refined, cohesive staircase that seamlessly ties into the upper-level flooring which combines craftsmanship, premium materials, and attention to detail for a lasting upgrade.
